Making the Xanathar
Planning sketches
This build owes heavily to Adam Savage's Totoro costume build. It begins with sketching the costume on a white board, and measuring the diameter of each concentric ring that will form the body.
Rattan rings and gaffer tape
The circumference of each ring has been calculated and formed using lengths of rattan cane. The loops are tied using synthetic cat gut and attached to each other using gaffer tape after spacing them an equal distance apart using wire hooks.
Finished costume
Teeth glued on, eyes unmasked, behold!
